BACKCOUNTRY SNOW TOURS 2008

Backcountry Snow Tours is proud to offer backcountry ski and snowboard tours to Hokkaido, Hakuba, Gulmarg, Chile and Argentina in 2008. From the steeps of the Himalayas to the pow of Hokkaido, for newcomers to backcountry to experienced tourers, we can make your backcountry ski or snowboard holiday a reality.

Ski Hokkaido, Japan with its easy access to bottomless powder; Ski Gulmarg, Kashmir where you can tour amongst the biggest mountains in the world; Ski Hakuba, Japan with its open powder fields, trees glades, steep chutes and an average seasonal snowfall of over 14m and Ski the Andes, South America for the premier ski terrain in the southern hemisphere.

Using experienced guides with extensive local knowledge we offer tours catering to different levels of backcountry enthusiasts and the various possibilities available at each location. Small groups, mountain accommodation and private transportation allow for maximum flexibility and the best chance for you to make the most of your time in the mountains.

Part of the joy for us is the adventures we have when not on our skis. The cultures we encounter and the people we meet add the extra dimensions that take it beyond ‘just’ a ski holiday. Sure, there are good mountains at home, but the excitement that comes with exploring new terrain, the joy of being the only ones out there and the endless new, surprising and unforgettable experiences that happen while not skiing are the reasons we are still spending part of every winter travelling to remote mountains.
