we classify as anyone who can ski and ride all the mountain with confidence in all conditions, has no problem taking on the toughest slopes that a mountain has to offer, and is always out to find the next stash of powder or drop to hit.
Each tour has different requirements. For example our Hokkaido, Hakuba and South America tours cater to clients who are advanced skiers or snowboarders but may not have many days in the backcountry and do not necessarily have all the gear. Our Gulmarg and Pakistan trips on the other hand assume you have had considerably backcountry experience, have most of the gear (Gulmarg clients may hire equipment. Pakistan snowboarders must have a split board, no snowshoes) and know how to use it and have avalanche training or an acceptable amount of knowledge.
Tip: If you are still unsure of your ability or how you or your group will fit in, we recommend you send us and email or call us.
* Please note that we do not cater to beginners or intermediates on any backcountry tours. Anyone who deceives us about their ability, attends a tour and is not up to the standard of their tour will be required to leave the group.
Rest assured, we are realistic and understand that people may not have skied or boarded for 5 years, or may be recovering from a previous injury ... that is fine ... however we are not here to teach skiers 'bump-turns' or snowboarders 'powder riding'. You will find yourself holding up the group. |
